FUNDING CALL: Postdoctoral Fellowship in Japan for Foreign Researchers

For those of you nearing the end of your PhD and who have the desire to see a bit of the world,  you may be interested in the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Postdoctoral Fellowship for Foreign Researchers.  JSPS  is the leading research funding agency in Japan, and these short term fellowships ( 1 – 12 months) provide the opportunity for researchers based outside of Japan to conduct collaborative research activities with leading research groups at Japanese Universities and Research Institutions.  Applicants need to be within 2 years of finishing their PhD at the time of applying to start their fellowship in Japan and all research fields are considered.

The deadline for applications is Monday 3rd December 2012 and fellowships must be started between 1st May 2013 to 31st March 2014.
