The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), an independent administrative institution established for the purpose of contributing to the advancement of science in all fields of the natural and social sciences and the humanities, is promoting a summer research programme which will run from 14 June to 24 August 2016.
The JSPS Summer Programme is open to current MPhil or PhD students who hold a UK passport. A one week orientation on Japanese culture and research systems will be provided on arrival before you move to a host institution to conduct collaborative research activities for 2 months during the summer.
Application Deadline: Friday 15th January 2016
Value of award: Return international airfare, maintenance allowance (534,000, JPY), research support allowance (158,500 JPY) and overseas travel and accident insurance policy are provided.
