If you are a PhD student in the arts and humanities you can apply to undertake training in public engagement in Aberdeen with the BBC’s Helen Keen.
Selected participants will travel to the University of Aberdeen on 19 November to receive public engagement training. Participants will then form teams with their fellow researchers to create a short activity of no more than five minutes which will be presented as part of Aberdeen’s 2015 Being Human festival later that evening.
This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about public engagement from an award winning comedy writer and performer. Additionally, the team of researchers judged to have created the most engaging activity will be awarded funding from the Scottish Graduate School of Arts and Humanities (SGSAH) to further develop their collaboration.
Participants who live outside of Aberdeen will have their travel and accommodation paid for by SGSAH.
Closing date for applications is 25th September. Further details, and the programme application, can be accessed here.
