Social Research – Careers seminar

The Social Research Association Scotland and Edinburgh University’s Careers Service have organised an evening event for anyone interested in a career in social research. Researchers from universities, the Scottish Government and the private sector will describe their career progression and take part in a panel discussion to answer your questions about the career pathways available.

The presentations and Q&A will be followed informal networking.

  • Sophie Ellison, Senior Research Officer, Scottish Government and chair of SRA Scotland
  • Graeme Beale, Office of the Chief Researcher, Scottish Government
  • Lorraine Simpson, Research Director, The Lines Between Ltd.
  • Andressa Gadda, Research Fellow in Child Protection at The University of Edinburgh/NSPCC Child Protection Research Centre.
  • Anna Marcinkiewicz, Researcher (Social Attitudes) ScotCen
