Women in STEM – Lecture at University of Strathclyde

The University of Strathclyde are hosting a lecture which may be of interest to female PhD students in STEM subjects.  See information below.

OPEN LECTURE: Women in STEM by Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock, MBE

25 June 2014,18:00 – 19:00 (Registration 17:30, refreshments available from 17:00)

McCance Lecture Theatre Level 3 (see maps for locations).

Dr Aderin-Pocock is a space scientist and pioneering figure in communicating science. She holds a degree in Physics, a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and presents the BBC’s long-running astronomy TV programme The Sky at Night.

In this lecture, she will discuss her own experiences and achievements in the field and will talk about how we can achieve change in female participation across science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
