Part-time Examination Invigilator – University of Edinburgh: To provide support for a range of examination activity (including examinations for students with examination concessions). There are three main examination diets: December (2 weeks), April/May (4 weeks), August (2 weeks). All invigilators must be available to work during these periods. Applicants must have previous experience of invigilating, preferably within a Higher/Further education establishment. Closing date 6th February 2014.
Science Communicator – Edinburgh International Science Festival: You will be part of a team delivering entertaining, team delivering entertaining, hands-on events to children and young people during the Festival. You will need to successfully engage your audience and assist in set-up and delivery to ensure your event runs smoothly. Closing date 24th February 2014
Web Developer / Marketing Assistant – Polar Flame Music: To help update and build an e-commerce website using WordPress/Jigoshop. The job will include everything from taking photos of the products, uploading them to the website, entering in the product details as well as assisting with online marketing. The idea candidate will have experience with WordPress and have a strong interest in web design, graphic design, marketing and online marketing. Closing date 10th February 2014.
Freelance Commissioner– Dove Medical Press: Dove Press publishes over 125 international, scholarly, peer-reviewed open access journals focusing on medicine, biology, basic sciences and emerging technologies. They are seeking post-graduate students with a fascination for these areas that can help them with their editorial and commissioning activities. Training and support will be given. Home-based, no rigid office environment, work flexibly. Specifically you will be researching commissioning ideas and identifying and suggesting suitable authors.
