Interesting opportunities?

I’m intending to give you a regular update on some of the jobs I see advertised on the Careers Service vacancy database (SAGE) which may be of particular interest to PhD students and graduates.  This week I’ve spotted:

National Centre for Social Research (Natcen)is recruiting for 2 researchers to work on the Growing up in Scotland and Scottish Social Attitudes surveys.  Obviously directed at social science and humanities researchers.  Closing date 23rd November.

Natural Power Consultants is looking for an ecological modeller to work with clients in the wind and wave/tidal industries.  A background in a biological, environmental or ecological discipline preferred.  Closing date 2nd December.

Centre for Scottish Public Policy (Adopt an Intern) has several internships available including a policy assistant to support the Dementia Carers Voices Project.  Closing date 26th November.

Cisco Systems is recruiting for graduate software engineers for a summer 2013 start.  Directed mainly at computer science / informatics students.  Closing date 15 December.

To view any of these vacancies go to www.ed.ac.uk/careers/sage and search for the employer.  You could also browse other vacancies to see if  there is anything else of interest to you.
