Global Entrepreneurship Week

‘All people are entrepreneurs, but many don’t have the opportunity to find that out’

Muhammad Yunus (Nobel prize winning economist and founder of the Grameen Bank)

Did you know that next week Global Entrepreneurship Week will be celebrated in Edinburgh?  It is the world’s largest campaign to promote entrepreneurship.  If you are not sure if this is for you, you may find some inspiration by reading the career profiles of 30 UK doctoral graduates from all subject areas in ‘Career Profiles of Doctoral Entrepreneurs‘ (Vitae, 2010).

Global Entrepreneurship Week runs from 12-18 November and  LAUNCH.ed, have worked with organisations big and small to bring you workshops, speaker events, and competitions throughout the week.   You could network with potential employers, launch your new business idea, or simply meet like-minded peers.  You can even get a taster of the business and enterprise training run by the Institute of Academic Development specifically for research students and staff.

To find out more about everything that’s on offer go to the Launch.Ed website.
