If you are considering continuing on an academic career trajectory then it’s never too early to start planning your job search and application strategy. The Careers Service is running a workshop for PhD students in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences on the morning of Wednesday 7th November covering job search and applications for academic jobs. To find out more and book your place go to: Planning an academic career: job search and application strategies
If you aren’t in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences or can’t attend this workshop then don’t worry as there is still plenty of support available. There is good information on academic job hunting and applications on our website or check out the University of Manchester academic career website which has some good advice, some from current academic staff.
Don’t forget that you can also make an appointment to speak to a Careers Adviser to discuss your own job search strategy or to get feedback on your CV. To find out how to make an appointment see: Talk to an adviser
